Hands On Engineering
A company that focusses on sharing ideas and developing products for Engineers, students, and hobbyists!
Welcome to my engineering journey! I’m an R&D aerospace engineer at the Netherlands Aerospace Centre (NLR), driven by a passion for innovation and problem-solving. My flagship project, the AW95 helicopter, serves as the foundation for many of my side projects and explorations.
One notable development is an affordable data acquisition system for strain gauges, a critical tool for tackling rotor track and balance challenges. By making this technology accessible to hobbyists, I’ve enabled its application across diverse use cases—including shape sensing, load cell measurements, pressure gauges, and, of course, numerous strain gauge implementations.
I’ve also delved into the design and instrumentation of hexapod/Stewart platforms, showcasing their fascinating mechanisms and the challenges of measuring six degrees of freedom (6 DOF).
I share these projects and insights through YouTube, aiming to make engineering approachable and inspiring for a global audience. Whether I’m crafting innovative systems or solving complex problems, I’m fueled by curiosity and a drive to create.
Beyond professional and hobby engineering projects, I enjoy several sports in my free time, including mountain biking, sailing, and preparing to obtain my Private Pilot License (PPL).
